Only FIVE days until Spring Break! 

1^st & 3^rd Blocks

Each of you did a great job last week preparing your Renaissance lessons, and I am looking forward to your presentations on Monday and Tuesday of this week!    On Wednesday, we will touch on two Baroque painters, Rembrandt and Caravaggio, and we will create a piece of art using the technique of chiaroscuro.  On Thursday and Friday, we will focus on Neo-Classicism and Romanticism and study the works of Jacques-Louis David and Jefferson. 

4^th & 5^th Blocks

On Monday and Tuesday, we will complete our study of Representational and Nonrepresentational art, which will come to a close with a fabulous art project:  A day of Jackson Pollock!  You will work in groups to complete a painting, and then you will create your own bookmark.  On Wednesday and Thursday, we will touch on the art and architecture of the Renaissance and we’ll finish on Friday with two Baroque painters:  Rembrandt and Caravaggio.
